LLEN
What is a LLEN?
The South East LLEN brings together education providers, industry community organisations, individuals and government organisations to improve education, training and employment outcomes for young peoplein our community. We work behind the scenes to help groups in the community to work together and find better ways to help young people with education, training and employment opportunities.
What are our goals?
To get young people back on track by improving pathways and opportunities for young people disengaged from education and training; and
To develop better ways of working together at the regional and local level by better integrating service planning and delivery.
We achieve these goals by:
- providing integrated planning which identifies gaps and articulates priorities and strategies
- expanding pathways to further education, training and employment and coordinating support on offer at the local level linked to local employment opportunities and skill needs
- providing a local platform for implementing, integrating and linking Government initiatives including VCAL, VETiS, Youth Training Guarantee, Technical Education Centres, Managed Individual Pathways and the Youth Transition Support Initiative
- providing advice on state-wide policy and programs to improve local service delivery
