<p>The South East LLEN in partnership with the City of Casey Youth Services are holding a  90 minute parent forum to assist parents to navigate their way through their child&#8217;s primary to secondary transitions and career options!</p>
<p>In the forum parents will be guided through,</p>
<ul>
<li>The My School website by a representative from ACARA</li>
<li>Your child&#8217;s tranistion points</li>
<li>Your child&#8217;s career planning pathway options</li>
</ul>
<p>The forum will be held at the City of Casey Civic Centre,</p>
<p>Chamber 1, Magid Drive, Narre Warren (Melways ref 110 D4)</p>
<p>On Wednesday 8 September 2010</p>
<p>7.00pm  &#8211; 8.30pm</p>
<p>Light refereshments will be provided</p>

<p>On 8 February 2010, the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Senator Chris Evans, announced the following changes to the General Skilled Migration program:</p>
<ul>
<li>the outcomes of a review of the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL)</li>
<li>the replacement of the current Skilled Occupation List (SOL) in the second half of 2010</li>
<li>offshore GSM visas made before 1 September 2007 would be capped and ceased</li>
<li>priority processing arrangements</li>
<li>skills assessment requirements for GSM applicants nominating a trade occupation.</li>
