With the Group Training model, LINK is the employer of many young apprentices and takes care of holiday, superannuation, work cover and other on costs, leaving the employer with a single invoice to deal with, cutting management and compliance costs considerably, particularly for small and medium businesses. LINK employs over 250 young people in a wide range of Apprenticeships.
LINK has business offices in Dandenong and Frankston/Mornington Peninsula and has been in operation for 20 years. LINK is a Not for Profit Organisation, is a Registered Training Organisation and plays a significant role in local Community issues, including being a foundation member of the South East LLEN, filling the Deputy Chair role on the SE LLEN Board of Directors and contributing staff and resources to support a range of community activities with a business or training focus.

Michael Borowick
Assistant Secretary, Australian Workers Union
Michael has been a South East LLEN Director since 2006 and an official of the AWU (and its predecessors) since 1990. Whilst his background is the building and construction industry, where he worked as an electrician, Michael organises for the AWU in number of industries vital to the AWU and its membership. These include mining, quarrying, metal manufacturing, plastics, chemical, and entertainment.
Michael is currently Deputy Chairperson of the Victorian Primary Industries Training Board Inc, having served two terms as Chairperson between 2002 and 2004.
He also represented the interests of AWU members on the National Building &Construction Industry Training Council Ltd, where he served for a number of years as a Director.
Michael is an Alternate Director for AWU National Secretary Bill Shorten on the Board of Australian Super, Australia’s largest industry superannuation fund, with over 1 million members and over $19 billion of workers funds invested.
He has been a member of the AWU National Executive since July 2005.
Michael lives with his family in Melbourne’s South East.

Terry Eccles
HR Manager, Pryda
Terry joined the South East LLEN Board, representing Employer and Business Members, in 2006. Terry originally trained as Primary School teacher and over time completed post graduate qualifications in Education and a further Masters degree in Special Education and was appointed as Principal of Glendonald School for the Deaf in 1990. Over the next twelve years, Terry worked as Principal in a number of Primary Schools including Bayswater West and Nunawadding. Looking for a new challenge after 36 years in Education, Terry resigned from the Education Department in 2002. A few months after his resignation, Terry undertook a part time advisory role at Pryda, utilising his extensive management and HR experience to help further develop Pryda’s staff development, retraining and occupational health and safety policies and systems. Since then his role at Pryda has vitually become full time and he is now responsible for performance review, national recruitment and strategic staffing planning within a 10 year horizon.

Fiona Hodges has been a member of SELLEN representing local government since 2003 and a Director for the last 4 years.
Fiona commenced working in local government at Cardinia Shire Council in 2001 and has performed roles in recreation, youth services and community services management prior to being appointed to the role of General Manager Community Wellbeing in 2004. Her portfolio comprises community services, recreation, business development, arts and culture and community strengthening, encompassing libraries, community learning and education.Her extensive community experience includes an initial career phase of 10 years in secondary education, professional roles in the sport and recreation sector from club to state level organisations as well having been a director in an innovative small business enterprise.With this broad experience Fiona is well equipped to coordinate and strategically plan to deliver a wide range of services and community facilities required to meet needs of the current and future population in regard to community services, arts, culture, education, recreation, leisure and employment.
Fiona is a strong advocate for the Cardinia Shire community and in her role as a Director liaises with the other member councils across the region.

Sara Edwards joined the SELLEN Board in 2007. Sara has been an active member of the community for over twenty years, through her involvement in local kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, always working towards inclusive service delivery for marginalized communities. Her community experience has included sessional teaching to VET students, coordination of school and community based recreation activities and is currently on the board of management for Badminton
