Blueprint for Education and Early Childhood Development

The Blueprint for Education and Early Childhood Development has been launched. The Blueprint includes an increased emphasis on partnerships – with parents and families and with local communities and businesses. It also emphasises the importance of young people making good transitions from school and lays out actions for this to occur.

Student Transport Mailbox

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has created a new Student Transport Mailbox to enable schools, business managers, bus coordinators and the general community to submit queries and seek advice on student transport and conveyance allowance eligibility. The establishment of this Mailbox ensures all queries are sent to the same central location and attended to in a timely and efficient manner.  The Student Transport Mailbox email address is student.transport@edumail.vic.gov.au

This position is located in Dandenong South.Hours of work will be 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.  Duties will include all aspects of Engineering Fabrication such as welding, bending and cutting on a range of materials. This position is located in Rowville. Applicants must be able to follow instructions and show willingness to learn new skills, show initiative, demonstrate accuracy, pay attention to detail and be motivated in all aspects of the trade and must be reliable and punctual. Experience in the trade or having a Pre-Apprenticeship would be highly regarded.

New program: Cool 2b@ School

 

Children and young people often experience some degree of fear and anxiety about school.  However, some students experience anxiety that can result in refusal to attend school. 

Centacare’s School Refusal Program offers assistance to children and adolescents, who as a result of refusing to attend school, risk developing school phobia and long-term mental health problems.
